Spiritual Hygiene, Cleansing your Energy Field with the Four Elements

Spend “Quality Time” with Yourself and Vastly Improve Your Life You are your most “significant other.” But how much quality time do you spend with yourself? How well do you know yourself? Meditation gives you the wonderful opportunity to just “be with” and really get to know yourself. Yanni Maniates has recorded twelve guided meditations to help you to learn how to quiet your mind and open your heart. By doing so, you can live your life more wisely, healthfully, and compassionately. Each of these meditations will help you to shift into a relaxed, healthy, and whole state of being—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

Here are some words of guidance from Yanni: Begin by choosing whichever meditation calls to you first, and then gradually go through all of them over the course of several days or weeks. Find the one(s) you like most and practice them daily. After you become familiar with a given meditation, you can begin to practice it on your own—shortening, lengthening, or revising it as you wish. Note that as you practice these meditations you may find that they somehow find a way to “show up” just at the right moment in your day when you most need them. For example, when you really need to destress or to revive your energies or to experience some much-needed compassion, you’ll know intuitively which practice you need.

These practices help remind you that balance and inner peace are your natural states of being no matter what else is going on at any given moment. Peace of mind is just a breath or a thought or an image away. I have found in the nearly sixty years that I have been meditating that it is so important to give yourself the “quality time” you need each day to revive, heal, and bring yourself into balance and heart/mind coherence. Physiologically all it takes is three to four minutes of meditation to change the chemical makeup of the hormones coursing through your body from being stressful, inflammatory ones to primarily being healthy, healing, relaxation hormones. So, give yourself the blessed gift of meditation every day. It will become your steadfast companion. You definitely deserve it. Happy meditating! When you are Quiet, you can eavesdrop on God. And then you can truly Listen to and come to Know yourself.

He is the author of six Kindle books on Meditation and Intuition, three Meditation CDs and numerous courses. As well, he has been doing “Soul Readings” for decades. The primary focus of his work is to help people experience the “still, small voice within,” or as he prefers to call it, “The Embrace,” and then to help them live a fulfilling life that is bursting with real passion and grounded in true integrity. He loves helping people discover who they really are. In addition, as a sacred activist he works with UNITY EARTH, an international network of spiritual leaders and activists, as its Global Projects Liaison and as Chair of its United States 501(c)(3) Board. Discontent is a spiritual illness. The illness attacks when the soul’s natural tendency towards love is blocked. This practice explores a simple process of identifying discontent within, and applying the intrinsic energy of unconditional love to heal the illness and bring a state of well-being.
A classical violinist and Raja Yoga meditation practitioner, Ayako Ichimaru experienced a spiritual awakening that has added a new dimension to her music. Already an internationally-celebrated performer, Ayako began using her realization to spread the message of “peace and happiness within” to audiences around the world. Ayako describes her personal transformation as having gone from playing her instrument to becoming an instrument of Divine Energy. In this extraordinary practice, Ayoko invites us to experience along with her the same vibration that inspired each of the two pieces she masterfully plays. Allow yourself to be moved by the beauty of both the sound and the silence.

Originally from Japan, Ms. Ayako Ichimaru now resides in Hong Kong. She is a world-renowned classical violinist, having performed at the White House in Washington, DC, the United Nations headquarters in New York City, and the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Ayako also composes music and is active in the Hong Kong pop music scene. A practitioner of Raja Yoga meditation, she now spreads the message of “peace and happiness within” as she performs her music worldwide.

The Soul Space Practice (SSP) is a simple, embodied, energetic hygiene practice that is most helpful when we exercise it daily, just like brushing and flossing our teeth. The SSP helps us to ground our spirit in a clean and pure vessel by transmuting anything that may not be healthy or healed -or simply be ours- in our living bodies/spaces: feeling, thinking, acting and energetic. The SSP helps us to reconnect ourselves to the true Sources of the life-giving forces for our soul: Love of the Earth, Light of the Spirit, as well as our Heart as the center for our healing, transmutation and growth.

When we sit and observe the breath, we can learn 2 things about life:

1. There is no need to cling

2. We are connected to everything in the universe As the word guru suggests – gu means darkness, ru means dispeller – thus, darkness dispeller.

Welcome to this session of eight brief spiritual listening practices. You will be invited to reflect on each one after which there will be one minute of silence, ending with a gong. You may want to listen to all eight practices in one session, or you may want to divide them up into smaller sessions. Some of you may want to pause and journal after each question or series of questions.

I invite you to find a comfortable place to sit. You may want to light a candle or burn some incense. You may want to close or lower your eyes to diminish distractions. Welcome the stillness. Breathe.

During this practice you will experience the brain crystal activation practice so you can continually connect with this space of grace, love and light.

Sometimes we forget. We forget to look around. To see the world from a larger point of view. To seek God in the midst of confusion, turmoil, and fear. But long ago, God asked an ancient man to look up. Because this man, named Abram, thought his world could end. In this practice based on God’s advice to Abram we breathe, look up, see God’s presence spread across the sky, and gather God’s gifts into our hearts and minds.

Everybody deserves to live in a consecrated space. An intention-information meditation recorded on Easter Sunday, 2020.

Practice: We gather together for the common purpose of consecrating the space of your home, pumping it up like a battery charging unit. We join with The Great Spiritual Masters. You are carrying out that magnificent teaching in Matthew 18:20: “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” It is a literal alignment of multiple minds into a shared consciousness. For this period of time, as we read the intention, we act as if we are a single life form. From this shared backdrop, it is a short step to embark on a journey together, a shared celebration of Life.

Are you feeling anxious and fearful lately?
Can you remember a time when you felt carefree and calm? Any feeling you may be having at this moment also has an opposite.

David Ellzey’s simple 20-minute practice of Holistic Releasing will help you stop bouncing back and forth between experienced feelings like a ping-pong ball. When we accept the fact that opposing feelings and thoughts necessarily exist within our humanness, we begin to discover our true nature—That in which these opposites appear, but is not defined by. There is no effort required. By simply allowing opposites to coexist, we begin to witness the freedom that exists beyond them.

Especially in these uncertain times, the mind can be extremely busy with very real challenges. This time-tested practice quiets the mind and reveals the clarity and peace that accompanies the direct experience of unbound awareness.

In the field of awakening consciousness, David is a teacher, author, awareness mentor, and transformational performer with clients including The United Nations and individuals and organizations across five continents. in this practice drawn from Integral Spirituality, we open ourselves to the 1 st person, 2 nd person, and 3 rd person perspectives on God or Spirit – the Infinite Face, the Intimate Face, and the Inner Face. We call upon and open to Spirit as Gaia or Spirit of Evolution, as Beloved, Friend, or Mother-Father, and as Self or I Am. In this way we can enrich, deepen, and expand our inner lives and ways of relating to the Ultimate Mystery.

Letting Go Practicehttps://community.contemplativelife.org/articles/letting-go-practice2020-01-16T00:37:31.000Z2020-01-16T00:37:31.000ZContemplative Lifehttps://community.contemplativelife.org/members/JeffGenung

Set aside four minutes to watch the video above. Put the video in full screen mode and try to give it your full attention.

Note that this video is just one example of a visual experience that can elicit awe; there are countless others, and being exposed to them can have similar effects. The videos and other stimuli that inspire awe tend to share two key features:

They involve a sense of vastness that puts into perspective your own relatively small place in the world. This vastness could be either physical (e.g., a panoramic view from a mountaintop) or psychological (e.g., an exceptionally courageous or heroic act of conscience).

They alter the way you understand the world. For instance, they might make your everyday concerns seem less important, or they might expand your beliefs about the reaches of human potential.
