Expanding Consciousness Practice

This guided meditation is designed to help you expand your consciousness through imagination and visualization. It is intended to remind you that there is a Universal Intelligence guiding all of creation and that we can attune ourselves with that Intelligence.  The meditation is inspired by the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi, and Michael Singer, author of The Untethered Soul and The Surrender Experiment.

As the Director of Peace at The Shift Network, Philip Hellmich is the chief architect of the Summer of Peace, Yoga Day Summit, World Peace Library and other online global forums that seek to inspire, inform, and involve people in the many ways that peace is emerging around the world. He has dedicated his life to global and local peacebuilding initiatives, including fourteen years with Search for Common Ground and four years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sierra Leone, where he lived and worked in small remote bush villages. Philip is author of God and Conflict: A Search for Peace in a Time of Crisis, a devotee of Paramahansa Yogananda, and a long-time meditation practitioner. He enjoys studying and teaching about the parallels between inner and outer peace, both personally and globally.
